Beta Version

Was anyone lucky enough to download the beta version? I've seen youtube videos and really it doesn't look that different from Vista.

It is unlikely to be extremely different just think of it as a big patch that you have to buy aka a scam (see my signature for details) lol

Yeah but they want you to think it's been a short time to prove that Microsoft's efficient! I mean think, they could have been working on Windows 7 since before they released Vista!

Yes but highly unlikely although Microsoft is really only after money, but they just have been getting worse lately, with ZUNE and their really bad immitations for ipods, they are getting worse and worse, and now BING? Vista was a cheap immitation of Apple's OS and gets the worst reputation for it within a few weeks of being released! Even their advertising scheme backfired leaving it open to the hundreds of Youtubers who constantly mock them! I would advise not to buy unless try THOROUGHLY lol

Yes, especially for video editors and hardcore gamers, we saw the huge difference in RAM requirements between Vista and XP. I would say Windows 7 will chew up your memory just like Vista.

Depends, Vista's focus was to imitate mac. 7 might be to fix up the painful security features etc, so it might not use more ram then Vista, could use less but doubtfull, remember computers are getting better ram cards for less price so software gets more requirements as it gets better!

i think people would rather buy an old classic ipod than a brand new zune

Exactly and yet you have heard of ipod? yes? well then that shows how successful microsoft is at trying to do other such things other than being an operating System.
